Mary Ellen Cann School of Highland Dancing
of Guelph Kitchener - Waterloo and Acton.
Mary Ellen's studio main studio was formed in 1980 and is located at Willow West Mall in Guelph, Ontario, after retiring from Competition Mary Ellen continued to perform both nationally and internationally. Mary Ellen is a former member of "The Sundance Heritage Performers from Burlington and danced at the opening of "The Skydome" in Toronto. She also, toured with this group to Great Britain where they performed in over 28 shows throughout England and Scotland. The group was featured at "The Garden Festival of Wales".
She has recently opened Branch studios, The Meaghan Helen Forestell School of Highland Dancing. in Kitchener - Waterloo, Ontario, in 2008 and the Leanne Marie Pettitt School of Highland dancing, in Acton, Ontario in 2009.
The studio dancers are both competitive and non-competitive dancers. Our studio competitive dancers have been top trophy and medal winners at many local, provincially and international competitions.
Our studio performing group can be seen at many community events throughout the year.
Check out many of the Highland games this summer and you will find our dancers on the boards with smiles on their faces showing their love for Highland Dancing.
Our dancers learn not only Highland dancing but, they learn many life skills, such as sportsmanship, discipline, leadership, teamwork, respect for others and many skills they will learn as competitive and performing Highland Dancers.
